This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite aired live from the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, featuring a violent Anything Goes Match between Bryan Danielson and Jeff Jarrett in the main event.
– Don Callis joined the commentary table for the opening match.
(1) MJF vs. KYLE FLETCHER
MJF immediately rolled out of the ring and grabbed a mic to demand that Fletcher lock up with him. Fletcher tried to lock up, but MJF nailed him with a kick to the gut. Fletcher surprised MJF with an inside cradle and dropped him with a bodyslam. MJF took Fletcher down with a clothesline, only for Fletcher to almost hit him with a Tombstone Piledriver. MJF pulled Fletcher’s arm into the ropes and whipped his body across the corner. Fletcher caught MJF with a jawbreaker, but MJF immediately smashed his shoulder on the mat. MJF hit Fletcher with a shoulder breaker and laid him out with a gutwrench bomb for a two count.
Fletcher caught MJF off-guard with a thrust kick and pummeled him down with a barrage of right hands, followed by a spinning powerslam. Fletcher sent MJF out of the ring and knocked him off the apron with an enzuigiri, setting him up for a suicide dive. MJF tried to roll out of the ring to recuperate, but Fletcher blasted him with a Penalty kick and crushed him with an Orihara moonsault. Fletcher attacked MJF with various chops and right hands before MJF tripped him into the barricade. MJF missed a running kick into the barricade and crashed over it. Fletcher quickly leapt over the barricade with a running cannonball onto MJF.
Back in the ring, Fletcher clocked MJF with an enzuigiri and flattened him with a diving elbow drop for a nearfall. MJF managed to slam Fletcher’s shoulder into the mat and counter a Tombstone Piledriver with a roll-through. MJF caught Fletcher with a back elbow and a double stomp to the arm. Fletcher tried to go for the kneeling piledriver, only for MJF to counter it with an Alabama Slam. MJF hit Fletcher with a hammerlock cradle DDT, but he managed to kick out at two. MJF spit on Fletcher’s face and poked his eyes before they started exchanging a pair of strikes. MJF spiked Fletcher with a Destroyer, only for Fletcher to turn him inside out with a lariat.
Fletcher managed to counter the Salt of the Earth with a roll-up before driving MJF into the corner with a Lawn Dart. Fletcher nailed MJF with an enzuigiri, but MJF bit his face to block a superplex. MJF tried to go for an avalanche Tombstone Piledriver, only for MJF to block the Panama Sunrise and nail him with a Tombstone Piledriver for a close nearfall. Don Callis distracted the referee and tossed a screwdriver into the ring. Fletcher refused to use the screwdriver, only for MJF to hit him with a low blow. MJF immediately blasted Fletcher away with the Kangaroo Kick, setting him up for the Brainbuster and the win.
WINNER: MJF at 17:43 (****)
– After the match, MJF knocked the referee out and clobbered Kyle Fletcher with his diamond ring. MJF kept on pummeling Fletcher with numerous blows to the head and tried to go for the Tiger Driver, only for Will Ospreay to make the save.
– A video package was shown, hyping up the encounter between Bryan Danielson and Jeff Jarrett.
(2) MARIAH MAY vs. VIVA VAN
May immediately caught Van with a headbutt and launched her away with a release German suplex. May blasted Van with a missile dropkick and smashed her head numerous times into the turnbuckle. Van surprised May with a roll-up, only for May to shut her down with a clothesline and a basement dropkick. May pummeled Van down, as AEW Dynamite went to an ad break.

Back from break, May stomped Van down, until Van caught her with a double kick. May tripped Van into the turnbuckle and crushed her with a running hip attack. May kissed Van’s cheek before cracking her with a running knee strike and dropping her with the May Day. Instead of making the pinfall, May spiked Van with Storm Zero to pick up the victory.
WINNER: Mariah May at 6:28 (*3/4)
– After the match, a stagehand handed Mariah May a wrapped picture. May opened the picture to reveal a picture of Mariah May and Toni Storm hugging. May realized that there was a ‘Die Mariah Die’ message written on the back before Toni Storm attacked her from behind. Storm tried to stab May with her shoe, but numerous referees showed up to separate them.
– A video package was shown recapping, featuring Jack Perry watching the end of the Blood & Guts match on a bunch of TV screens. Perry smashed all the TV screens with a sledgehammer, as they showed footage of every former TNT champion and he asked how much Allin was willing to sacrifice.

– Backstage, Darby Allin called out how Jack Perry refused to show up on any show, but he had to show up at Wembley.
– Chris Jericho and Big Bill joined the commentary table and confirmed that they asked the EVPs to kick Taz out of the commentary table.
(3) BRYAN KEITH vs. KATSUYORI SHIBATA
Keith attacked Shibata with a clothesline and drove him into the corner. Shibata nailed Keith with an uppercut and put him in a double wrist lock to stomp his elbow twice. Keith drove Shibata into the barricade and blasted his arm with a rising kick. Keith kicked Shibata’s arm one more time, as AEW Dynamite went to a commercial break.

Back from break, Keith nailed Shibata with a series of chops and forearms, until Shibata cornered him with a single forearm. Keith caught Shibata with a headbutt and put him down with an Ushigoroshi for a two count. Keith put Shibata in a wrist lock and launched him away with a Xploder. Shibata picked both of Keith’s arms, only for Shibata to crack him with a headbutt. Shibata knocked Keith off his feet and clobbered him with a chop to the chest. Shibata put Keith in the Claw, setting him up for a cross armbreaker and the win.
WINNER: Katsuyori Shibata at 7:01 (***)
– After the match, Chris Jericho and Big Bill attacked Katsuyori Shibata from behind. Jericho prepared to clobber Shibata with his belt, only for a returning Hook to show up and make the save. Hook sent Bill out of the ring and pummeled Jericho with a load of forearm strikes.
– Backstage, Renee Paquette interviewed Orange Cassidy about his lack of partners due to travel issues when he faces Strong, Rush and Mortos tonight. Cassidy said that he would still do the match and had found a couple of local guys to team with him.
[Commercial Break]
– Backstage, Renee Paquette interviewed Hangman Adam Page about his recent losses in the Owen Hart Cup finals, Blood & Guts and last week’s bout. Page said that there was one man that he wanted to take everything away, but the ashes of his pride. Page said that there have been a dozen dumbasses on his way and that justice delayed is justice denied. He finished by saying that no matter what, he would have what he wants.
SWERVE STRICKLAND SIT-DOWN INTERVIEW WITH JIM ROSS
– Earlier today, Jim Ross had a sit-down interview with Swerve Strickland. JR asked Swerve about his motivation going into Wembley Stadium. Swerve put over how he is fully motivated after last year and the path he took to get here. JR asked Swerve if he regretted anything he has ever done. Swerve said that the door was locked and he was tired of knocking, so he had to make some noise to get through.
– JR asked Swerve if he was aware of how dangerous and hard-hitting Bryan Danielson is. Swerve agreed and said that people don’t realize how physical and violent this match was going to be. JR asked Swerve about Danielson about his claims that this could be his last match. Swerve said that Danielson has put his legacy on the line and how he didn’t really care about Danielson’s life. Swerve talked about the chance that Danielson’s body stops working when they clash. He finished by saying that he would beat Danielson and that his legacy belongs to him now.
– Orange Cassidy revealed that his partners would be FTR. Don Callis joined the commentary table for the next match.
(4) ORANGE CASSIDY & FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) vs. RUSH, THE BEAST MORTOS & RODERICK STRONG (w/Matt Taven & Mike Bennett)
Rush blasted Dax with a series of chops to the chest, followed by an assisted basement dropkick. Dax and Strong traded chops to the chest, until Dax cornered Strong. Cassidy attacked Strong with a bunch of shoulder thrusts, followed by a snap suplex from Dax. FTR tripped Strong, setting him up for a low-effort elbow drop from Cassidy. FTR and Cassidy sent Rush, Mortos and Strong out of the ring, as AEW Dynamite went to commercials.

Back from break, Cash caught Mortos with an uppercut, only for Strong to attack him with an axe handle to the back. Rush, Mortos and Strong crushed Cash with a series of corner strikes, followed by a pop up Samoan Drop. Strong dropped Cash with a backbreaker, but missed the jumping knee, allowing Dax to get the hot tag. Dax pummeled Strong with chops to the chest before receiving a strike to the back from Rush. Dax sent Rush out of the ring and floored Mortos with a spinebuster before taking Strong down with an inside cradle.
Strong tried to put Dax down with an O’Connor Roll, only for Dax to respond with a corkscrew crossbody. Dax nailed Strong with a series of chops in the corner, until Strong swept him off the top turnbuckle and hit him with a Sick Kick. Mortos crushed Dax with a corkscrew Swanton Bomb for a close two count. Taven and Bennett stomped Dax down while Rush and Mortos distracted the referee, as AEW Dynamite went to an ad break.

Back from break, Rush pummeled Dax with a load of chops before they knocked each other down with strikes to the face. Strong took care of Cash with a back suplex on the apron while Cassidy shoved Mortos into the corner. Cassidy got the hot tag to crush Rush with a high crossbody and nail Strong with a Satellite DDT. Cassidy hit Strong with a suicide dive and spiked Mortos with a Satellite DDT. Strong distracted Cassidy, allowing Mortos to shut him down with a Spear. Mortos put Dax down with a Spear before receiving a snap powerslam Cash.
Rush laid Cash out with a spinning suplex, only for Ruhs to take him down with Beach Break for a one count. Rush cracked Rush with a forearm and a knee strike to the head. Mortos took Cash down with a suicide dive into a cannonball, only for Cassidy to catapult him into Taven and Bennett. Cassidy caught Strong with Stundog Millionaire and saved Dax from the Bull’s Horns with an Orange Punch on Rush. Rush pummeled FTR with a barrage of chops, until Cassidy hit him with another Orange Punch. FTR immediately took Cassidy down with the Shatter Machine to pick up the win.
WINNERS: Orange Cassidy & FTR at 16:49 (***1/2)
– After the match, The Acclaimed showed up, only for FTR to immediately dared them to a fight. Both teams brawled, until various security guards and agents showed up to separate them.
– Backstage, Christian Cage announced that the House of Black would take on the Bang Bang Gang on Collision to determine contenders for their trios titles. Cage announced that he would be the special guest referee for that match.

– A video package was shown, featuring numerous highlights from Hologram since his arrival to AEW.
(5) KAMILLE (w/Mercedes Mone) vs. JAZMYNE HAO & CLARA CARTER
Kamille immediately knocked Hao down with a thrust kick and clobbered Carter with a series of forearms. Kamille stomped Carter down and dropped Hao on top of her. Hao and Carter tried to stomp Kamille down, only for Kamille to shut them down with a clothesline and a pump kick. Kamille finished Hao with a Rack Bomb and Carter with a Dominator for the victory.
WINNER: Kamille at 1:51 (*)
– After the match, Mercedes Mone put over Kamille’s victory and claimed that Britt Baker wasn’t here and was still suspended. Tony Schiavone got up to announce that Tony Khan had overruled The Elite and Baker was no longer suspended. Britt Baker appeared on-screen to tell Mone that she was all in since the inception of AEW and Mone would take her ball and go home the moment things didn’t work for her. Baker said that she would be the first to beat Mercedes Mone and that she had a week to think of a way to get her hands on her.
– A video package recapping Bryan Danielson’s announcement that he would put his career on the line at All In was shown.

– A recap of Claudio Castagnoli winning an AEW Continental title shot on Collision was shown.
– Ricky The Dragon Steamboat showed up to join the commentary table for the main event.
(6) JEFF JARRETT vs. BRYAN DANIELSON – Anything Goes Match
Jarrett attacked Danielson with a guitar shot on the entrance way before the match started. Jarrett clobbered Danielson with a chair shot and threw him over the barricade. They took the brawl into the stands where they traded numerous right hands, until Jarrett poked Danielson’s eye. Jarrett drove Danielson into a wall and threw a trash can into his head. Danielson reatalied with a load of kicks to the chest and clobbered him with a bottle to the head. Jarrett dropped Danielson on top of a trash can, following it with a suplex onto it. Jarrett beat Danielson down with numerous right hands, until Danielson shut him down with a suplex onto the trash can, as AEW Dynamite went to its final commercial break.

Back from break, Jarrett pummeled Danielson with a series of right hands and smashed his head into the turnbuckle. Danielson knocked Jarrett down with a running clothesline, following it with a corner dropkick to the head. Danielson bit Jarrett’s head and sent him out of the ring, setting him up for a suicide dive. At ringside, Danielson beat Jarrett down with numerous kicks to the chest, setting him up for a running dropkick to the head. Danielson maintained control over Jarrett with more kicks to the chest and drove him into the steel steps. Jarrett blocked the flying knee off the apron with a chair and trapped his leg in a chair.
Danielson stopped Jarrett atop the turnbuckle with a chair shot to the back, setting him up for a Spider superplex. Danielson blasted Jarrett away with a missile dropkick, followed by a barrage of kicks to the chest. Jarrett evaded the final kick and put Jarrett in the Figure 4 Leg Lock. Danielson whacked Jarrett’s knees with a chair to break the hold, only for Jarrett to hit him with the Stroke on a chair for a nearfall. Jarrett put Danielson in a Sharpshooter, until Danielson countered the hold with a LaBelle Lock. They traded numerous right hands, until Jarrett caught Danielson with an enzuigiri. Danielson blocked the Stroke and drove Jarrett into a chair in the corner, setting him up for the Busaiku Knee with a chair to the head.
WINNER: Bryan Danielson at 15:27 (***3/4)
– After the match, Ricky Steamboat entered the ring to raise Bryan Danielson and Jeff Jarrett’s hands. Jarrett and Danielson hugged in the middle of the ring, until Swerve Strickland interrupted them. Swerve said that it was great that the crowd got to see three living legends in Steamboat, Jarrett and himself. He pointed out that unlike Danielson, they have all held world championships.
– Swerve told Danielson that he would be honored to retire him and that he wouldn’t hesitate to take the killshot. Swerve pointed out how beaten Danielson was and teased what he was going to do. He said that since Danielson already proved himself, he wanted to prove himself against Wheeler Yuta next week. Swerve finished by asking Danielson to sit in the front row to watch why he was the most dangerous man in AEW.
