It has been no secret the battles that Giannis Antetokounmpo has had at the free-throw line. For a long period of time, he was just no good, but since he started to work on it, it has become the focus of all opposing fans. As Giannis developed a routine that could support his growth at the line, fans became disturbed at how long he would take to make the shot. It got to the point where in the playoffs opposing fans would start to count every time he was at the line. The league rule says you get 10 seconds to take the shot at the line and man did he use every bit of those 10 seconds…and then some! It became a staple to count as he got the ball at the line.
After the playoffs, it died down and he went on to many places he played, the crowd was still on him every time. He since got better and the hype went away, that is until Friday night in the second quarter of the Bucks’ 112–100 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, as he took an extended period of time to take a deep breath and compose himself at the line. 10, 20 seconds and more, but this time it was not a fan who was fed up but Cavaliers guard Max Strus. Strus Strus began counting the seconds on his hands as soon as Giannis received the ball.
here’s video of Strus counting seconds with Giannis at the line. so good pic.twitter.com/hFwhtD5C9n

The NBA does not seem to hold the rule book to the letter, hell They never have, and until they do Giannis does not seem ready to change. As the season gets closer to the end and the playoffs arrive, expect fans to be on him once again every time he hits the line.
