We are about to take you on a journey around the country and farther! I myself like to travel and when I do I love to eat. Who doesn’t? Right? I feel with all the great food I have eaten it would be a crime not to share and spread the word. I travel most to the city of Orlando Florida as I live not too far away so I may give you more from this city than any other. The great thing about Orlando is there are endless places to stay, things to do, and food to eat!
Today I want to share with you a place I found on Bourbon Street, New Orleans called Musical Legends Park. Here you will find when you walk through the large black gates that dawn the opening of the park, a courtyard full of history, music and food. You start by seeing the statues of musical legends Al “Jumbo” Hirt, Pete Fountain, Fats Domino, Chris Owens, Ronnie Kole, and Louie Prima Jr. You can also find some GREAT food!
If you love music, in particular Jazz, then this is the place for you. At about 10 am the live music will start and you can get your warm Beignet at Cafe Beignet sit back and enjoy the music as you start your day. The Beignet are great, maybe one of the best in the city that prides itself on such, soft and fluffy and covered well in powdered sugar. I found they taste a bit different no matter where you go but these ones had that perfect atmosphere to go with it.
They have all the goodies you would want as well as pastries. I loved to Gumbo and the Jumbulia and Red Beans and Rice were the best! Perfectly seasoned and has the taste of New Orleans one would want when coming here. Be careful though, the way they make the sausage in New Orleans is a bit different than you may be used to, but no worries as it is still as good!
There are many places to visit in New Orleans and Musical Legends Park is one you won’t want to miss. Stay with us here at EDF Lifestyle as there is more to come from New Orleans, Orlando, and DC!
