The Charlotte Hornets star Terry Rozier was traded today to the Miami Heat for guard Kyle Lowry and a protected 2027 first-round pick, sources told ESPN. Rozier is un the middle of his best season averaging 23.2 points and 6.6 assists a game.

Lowry a veteran that has worth on any NBA team and his $29.6 million expiring contract, means he could eventually become a contract buyout candidate, sources said. For the move the Heat will save $15.4 million in luxury tax this season.
