The NBA playoffs are coming on strong and what comes first is the play-in games and the NBA has it all figured out. If the play-in games were to start today this is what the brackets would look like.
It looks like it is set with just a couple of games to go. There is a chance of a few teams ending up tied after the final game, including the top of the Western Conference. If that does take place this is a look at the tie breaker system.
TIE-BREAKERS WHEN THREE OR MORE TEAMS ARE TIED
1B Division winner (this criterion is applied regardless of whether the tied teams are in the same division)
2B Better winning percentage in games against each other
3B Better winning percentage against teams in own division (only if tied teams are in same division)
4B Better winning percentage against teams in own conference
5B Better winning percentage against teams eligible for the playoffs or the play-in tournament in own conference (including tied teams)
6B Better net result of total points scored less total points allowed against all opponents (point differential
