Top NFL Young QB’s 2024

Being a top QB in the NFL does not come easy to most, it is a process of time and hard work, combined of course with talent. But there are a rare few that defy that and walk into the NFL and make it their B… you get the point. The biggest one that comes to mind is Dan Mareno, he walked in and went straight to the Bowl ( never again) but that type of dominance right away is rare. Last season we saw what could be the next Dan as the Texans drafted C.J. Stroud and if we did not have him in this article it would not have any clout at all. But this year gave us a ton of talent and was one of the best QB classes to come along. Here are my top 5 young QBs in the NFL

  1. C.J. Stroud – Until any of the QBS drafted last season, this season, or next, pulls off what he did in his rookie season, he is our #1 guy.  The No. 2 overall pick in the 2023 draft completed 63.9 percent of his throws for 4,108 yards and 23 touchdowns with just five interceptions. He also ran in three more scores on the ground. Leading his team to the playoffs and performing like a guy who has been there and done that, the Texans are not and as long as he is there a contender. He has better weapons and a year under his belt, by the end of the season he may land on our top 5 of all QBs.
  2. Brock Purdy – This young QB came in with force and has not stopped, with two years under his belt and a Suoer Bowl appearance this ceiling is high for the SF QB. Throwing for 4280 yards 31 TDs and 11 INTs. This guy has weapons for days and a coach who knows how to make a team a team. Purdy could not be in a more perfect place and as long as he stays put he can only get better and should make all those in the division worried.
  3. Jordan Love – The oldest of our young QBs, Love is heading into his fourth year in the NFL but only his second as a starter. Last season in his first full season he amassed 4159 yards with 32 TDs and 11 INTs. Many believe this is the year he makes his mark as the next super QB to roam the Green Bay sidelines. Following a legend is always hard unless you are in Green Bay where it is just commonplace. He has the team he needs to win a division and make a run in the playoffs, if he wins this division he will land on the pedestal that is Green Bay QBs and solidify himself as a top QB in the game.
  4. Caleb Williams – This dynamic QB from Southern Cal did all one could want (well without winning a title) in college and has shown in the preseason he is the real deal. His poise and command of the game is unreal. If you have been watching HBOs Hard Knocks this year you have seen just that. A young man comes in and works like he has been doing this for a long time. His accuracy is outstanding and knowledge of the game is at the top of the game. He can read a defense and that means NFL defensive coordinators will actually have to plan for him. Even though he is a rookie he belongs right here until proven otherwise.
  5. Bo Nix – Another rookie that many may be surprised to be up so high. This is a guy that came into Denver and the same as Williams in Chicago, he came in and started acting like he had been there for years. It may be the fact he is much older than a regular rookie and he has a ton of experience in a few of the best organizations in CFB. That and Sean Payton who knows how to handle and groom hs own QB. It is not just me either as executives around the league and national writers such as the Athletic’s Jeff Howe, say they are voting him best rookie in the preseason awards over Williams. There is something going on in Denver and Nix just maybe this generation’s Elway in the mile-high city.

I know there are more than a few that did not make this list and that’s okay. That means there is a good grip of talent in the NFL, which is a good thing for us fans.  Stay with EDF Lifestyle for more great NFL, Fantasy, and CFB news! Next up Sleeper Running Backs.
