AEW DYNASTY RESULTS (04/21/24) – OSPREAY VS. DANIELSON DREAM MATCH!

AEW Dynasty aired live from the Chaifetz Arena in St. louis, Missouri, featuring eight title matches and a massive dream match between Bryan Danielson and Will Ospreay.

– On Zero Hour, Renee Paquette and RJ City stood on the ramp to hype up tonight’s match card.

(1) TRENT BERETTA vs. MATT SYDAL (w/Mike Sydal)

Trent immediately pummeled Sydal with a bunch of forearms to the back, only for Sydal to respond with two hurracarranas. Trent evaded a roundhouse kick and rolled out of the ring before receiving a sliding dropkick and a splash from the apron. Back in the ring, Sydal crushed Trent with the Slice and the standing Mariposa for a two count. Trent caught Sydal off-guard with a brainbuster and pressed his boot on his chest. Trent knocked Sydal off the apron and floored him with a backdrop driver. Sydal nailed Trent with a leg lariat and targeted his legs with a series of kicks.

Sydal landed on his feet off a back suplex and clocked him with a leaping hook kick, setting him up for a question mark kick and a two count. Trent blocked the Lightning Spiral by raking Sydal and spiked him with a half-and-half suplex for a two count. Sydal flattened Trent with an Air Raid Crash, followed by a Meteora for a nearfall. Trent dropped Sydal face-first onto the turnbuckle before spiking him with a Gotch-style piledriver for a close two count. Trent launched Sydal away with a running knee strike, setting him up for a modified Triangle Choke and the submission win.

WINNER: Trent Beretta at 8:13 (***1/4)

– After the match, Mike Sydal checked on Matt, only for Trent to attack him from behind. Chuck Taylor showed up to make the save and chase Trent away. Trent grabbed a mic and gave Chuck an ultimatum to tell him where he stands on Dynamite. As Trent started leaving, Orange Cassidy and Katsuyori Shibata crossed paths with him on the ramp.

(2) ORANGE CASSIDY & KATSUYORI SHIBATA vs. SHANE TAYLOR PROMOTIONS (Shane Taylor & Lee Moriarty w/Anthony Ogogo)

Moriarty put Cassidy in a wrist lock, following it with a headscissors lock. Moriarty tried to put Cassidy in a wrist lock, only for Cassidy to put his hands in pocket and knock him down with a dropkick. Shibata knocked Moriarty off his feet with a waist lock takeover, but couldn’t follow up with a bow-and-arrow lock. Moriarty and Shibata exchanged headlock takeovers, until Shibata caught Moriarty with a kick to the back. Taylor and Shibata started a strike exchange, until Shibata blasted Taylor with two big boots to the face and a kick to the chest. 

Cassidy crashed into Taylor with a low-effort splash before nailing Moriarty with a suicide dive. Cassidy clobbered Moriarty with a load of right hands while Shibata stopped Ogogo from interfering. Taylor shut Shibata down with a punch to the face while Moriarty caught Cassidy with an uppercut. Taylor crushed Cassidy with a leg drop on the apron, setting him up for a massive chop to the chest. Moriarty put Cassidy in an abdominal stretch and laid him out with a spinning inverted Air Raid Crash for a two count. Taylor missed a corner splash and Cassidy blocked a sunset flip from Moriarty, reaching Shibata for the hot tag.

Shibata pummeled Moriarty with a couple of forearms in the corner, setting him up for a Hesitation dropkick and a snap suplex. Taylor tried to attack Shibata from behind, only for Shibata to corner with a palm strike. Cassidy and Shibata beat Taylor down with chops in the corner, stomps and stereo dropkicks. Moriarty knocked Shibata out of the ring with a big boot and snapped Cassidy’s fingers.

Moriarty countered the Satellite DDT with a facebuster and tried to put Cassidy in the Border City Stretch. Cassidy spiked Moriarty with a Satellite DDT, only for Taylor to crack him with a headbutt. Shibata saved Cassidy from a Package Piledriver with a sleeper hold before taking Ogogo out with a big boot and blasting Taylor with a Penalty kick. Moriarty knocked Shibata out of the ring and nearly beat Cassidy with a Gedo Clutch. Moriarty missed an enzuigiri, allowing Cassidy to knock him out with the Orange Punch.

(3) THE ACCLAIMED (Anthony Bowens & Max Caster) & BILLY GUNN vs. BULLET CLUB GOLD (Jay White, Austin Gunn & Colten Gunn) – AEW World Trios Championship & ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship

Bowens quickly took control over Colten with a shoulder tackle, followed by a back body drop. Billy knocked Austin down with a shoulder tackle before clobbering him and Colten with clotheslines. White attacked Billy with chops to the chest, but his shots weren’t effective. Colten got the blind tag and hit Billy from behind, only for Billy to not react at all. Colten tried to hug Billy before receiving a punch to the face. Caster put Colten in a headlock and took him down with arm drags. The Acclaimed took care of Colten with a neckbreaker and backbreaker combination.

Bowens crushed Austin with Scissor Me Timbers, but Austin was able to avoid a corner splash from Caster. White threw Caster’s body into the barricade and stepped on his chest. Bowens got the hot tag to beat the Gunns down with clotheslines, followed by a thrust kick on Austin. Bowens clobbered White with a discus elbow strike, only for Austin to send him out of the ring with a dropkick. White planted Bowens with a facebuster on the apron for a two count. Colten blasted Bowens with a bunch of chops to the chest, setting him up for a headlock from Austin.

Bowens dropped Austin with a back suplex, reaching Billy for the hot tag. Billy put Bullet Club Gold down with a series of clotheslines, followed by a corner splash on Colten. Colten avoided the Famouser before Billy laid Austin out with the One & Only. Colten surprised Billy with a Famouser for a close nearfall. Billy blocked the 3:10 to Yuma, allowing The Acclaimed to knock the Gunns down. Austin knocked The Acclaimed off the apron while White clobbered Billy with a bat behind the referee’s back.

The Gunns hit Billy with the 3:10 to Yuma, but he managed to kick out at two. The Acclaimed tossed the Gunns out of the ring and knocked White off his feet with chops and a thrust kick. White sent Caster out of the ring and flattened Bowens with a uranage. Billy blocked the Blade Runner to hit White with the Famouser, setting him up for Caster’s Mic Drop and a nearfall. White blocked another Famouser before dropping Billy with the Blade Runner for the three count.

WINNERS: Bullet Club Gold at 14:44 (New AEW World Trios Champions) (***1/4)

– The main show opened with a video package hyping tonight’s main matches.

(4) KAZUCHIKA OKADA vs. PAC – AEW Continental Championship

Okada swept PAC off his feet, only for PAC to put him in a wrist lock. PAC put Okada down with a headlock takeover before knocking him down with a hurracarrana and a fosbury flop. PAC tossed Okada into the barricade and hit him with a corner splash, setting him up for an avalanche brainbuster and a two count. Okada knocked PAC off the top turnbuckle with a dropkick and drove his body into the barricade. Back in the ring, Okada nailed PAC with a sliding dropkick and caught him off-guard with a dropkick to the head.

At ringside, Okada spiked PAC with a draping DDT using the barricade, following it with another DDT in the ring for a two count. They traded forearm strikes, until PAC low-bridged Okada and crushed him with an Asai moonsault. PAC pummeled Okada with various elbow strikes and a running forearm, setting him up for a missile dropkick and a two count. They evaded each other’s strikes, until PAC landed on his feet off a German suplex. PAC planted Okada with a German suplex, but he was able to launch him away with an immediate shotgun dropkick. Okada dropped PAC with the modified Ushigoroshi for a close two count. 

Okada floored PAC with a body slam and crushed him with a diving elbow drop before giving the fans the middle finger. PAC surprised Okada with an inside cradle and blasted him with a thrust kick, followed by a lariat. PAC hit Okada with a deadlift delayed bridging German suplex for a close nearfall. Okada evaded a Black Arrow at the last moment before spiking PAC with a Tombstone Piledriver. PAC countered two Rainmaker with pinning combinations and trapped Okada in the Brutalizer. Okada gouged PAC’s eyes to break the hold, only for PAC to counter his Tombstone Piledriver with one of his own. Okada grabbed onto the referee to protect himself before blocking the Black Arrow with his knees and knocking PAC out with the Rainmaker.

WINNER: Kazuchika Okada at 21:55 (Still AEW Continental Champion) (****)

– A recap of the feud between the House of Black, Adam Copeland, Mark Briscoe and Eddie Kingston was shown.

(5) ADAM COPELAND, EDDIE KINGSTON & MARK BRISCOE vs. HOUSE OF BLACK (Malakai Black, Buddy Matthews & Brody King)

Black took Briscoe down with a pair of arm drags, followed by a diving double stomp from Buddy. Copeland and Briscoe knocked Buddy off his feet with a double shoulder tackle, setting him up for a series of right hands in the corner. Buddy kicked Copeland away before Black tagged himself in. Black immediately gave King the tag, only for Copeland to avoid his strikes and tag Kingston in. King and Kingston got into a chop exchange, until Kingston nailed him with an enzuigiri. Kingston pummeled King with a load of chops, but King shut him down with a Bossman Slam. 

King crushed Kingston with a corner cannonball, setting him up for a slingshot senton from Buddy. Kingston dared Buddy to kick him on the back, only for Buddy to blast him with a basement dropkick. Black hit Kingston with a sliding dropkick before missing a roundhouse kick and receiving a German suplex. Briscoe tagged in to knock Buddy down with a clothesline and catch him with an uppercut. Briscoe knocked Buddy off the apron with a Pele kick, setting him up for a dropkick through the ropes. Black and King took care of Copeland and Kingston while Briscoe set up a chair on the apron.

Briscoe used the chair to crash into King with a Tope con Hilo over the ring post. Buddy and Briscoe exchanged strikes on the apron, until Buddy cracked Briscoe with a jumping knee. King immediately flattened Briscoe with a Death Valley Driver into the barricade. King clobbered Briscoe with a chop to the chest, followed by a back elbow and an abdominal stretch from Black. Briscoe managed to knock the House of Black off the apron, reaching Copeland for the hot tag. Copeland clocked Buddy and King with a big boot and cornered King with a shoulder thrust. King knocked Copeland off the top turnbuckle, only for Briscoe and Kingston to attack him with chops.

Black and Buddy put Briscoe and Kingston down with stereo powerbombs while Copeland laid King out with a superplex. Buddy caught Copeland off-guard with a Meteora before receiving a lariat from Kingston. Black cracked Kingston with a roundhouse kick, only for Briscoe to blast him with a missile dropkick. King turned Briscoe inside out with a lariat, but his opponents retaliated with a backfist, an Impaler DDT and the Froggy Bow for a nearfall. Black and Copeland had a face-off, until King and Buddy took Copeland down. Kingston, Briscoe and Copeland shocked the House of Black with stereo Spears. Black blocked the Spear with the black mist before finishing Copeland with The End.

WINNERS: House of Black at 17:46 (***3/4)

– A video package of the rivalry between Julia Hart and Willow Nightingale was shown.

(6) JULIA HART vs. WILLOW NIGHTINGALE – AEW TBS Championship

Willow immediately clobbered Hart with a clothesline, followed by a series of forearms. Hart knocked Willow off the top turnbuckle with a thrust kick and threw her body onto the timekeeper’s table. Back in the ring, Hart pressed her boot on Willow’s back of the neck, setting her up for a headscissors lock using the top rope. Hart smashed Willow’s head on the mat numerous times and broke a headlock with a load of kicks to the head.

Willow planted Hart with a spinebuster, setting her up for a corner splash. Willow missed a missile dropkick, allowing Hart to put her in the Hart-less. Hart tried to transition into a sunset flip and hit Willow with thrust kicks, but they weren’t effective. Hart shut Willow down with a double stomp, only for Willow to block her moonsault with her feet. Willow clobbered Hart with a lariat and floored Hart with a Doctor Bomb for the win.

WINNER: Willow Nightingale at 6.01 (New AEW TBS Champion) (**1/2)

– After the match, Willow Nightingale and Mercedes Mone had a face-off in the middle of the ring, as it was announced that they were scheduled to fight at Double Or Nothing.

– A video package was shown recapping the history between Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly.

(7) RODERICK STRONG vs. KYLE O’REILLY – AEW International Championship

Kyle pushed Strong to the ropes, only for Strong to put him in a wrist lock. Strong managed to put Kyle in a headlock before nailing him with a knee to the gut. Kyle took Strong down with a back body drop and nearly put him in a cross armbreaker. Kyle transitioned into an ankle lock, forcing Strong to crawl for the ropes. Strong clobbered Kyle with a forearm strike and cornered him with a chop. Strong took Kyle down with a backbreaker, only for Kyle to fire up and nail him with kicks to the chest.

They traded a pair of pinning combinations, until Strong caught Kyle off-guard with a jumping knee for a nearfall. Kyle managed to pull Strong’s head into the rope and smash his shoulder into the mat. Kyle attacked Strong with a series of kicks to the chest, until Strong countered a running kick with a backbreaker. Strong stopped Kyle atop the turnbuckle and dropped him with a backbreaker onto the turnbuckle. Kyle nearly trapped Strong in a Triangle Choke, but he was able to break the hold with forearms to the head. Strong pummeled Kyle with a load of chops and stomps before they started exchanging strikes.

Strong planted Kyle with two back-to-back backbreakers and an elevated double knee backbreaker for a nearfall. Kyle blocked the End of Heartache to beat Strong down with a barrage of kicks to the chest. Kyle swept Strong off his feet and hyper-extended his arm, setting him up for a Heel Hook. Strong caught Kyle off-guard with an Olympic Slam, setting him up for a bunch of forearms to the head. Kyle blocked a jumping knee to blast Strong with a roundhouse kick and a diving knee drop. Kyle immediately crushed Strong’s knee with another diving knee, setting him up for the Heel Hook.

Strong was able to escape the hold and withstand Kyle’s forearms to hit him with another backbreaker for a two count. Strong put Kyle down with a superplex, only for Kyle to immediately turn the pinfall around with an inside cradle. Both men bounced on the ropes and knocked each other down with running clotheslines. They started trading numerous chops and kicks to the chest, until Kyle caught Strong with a knee to the face. Kyle dropped Strong with a German suplex, blocked a backbreaker and cracked Strong with an axe kick, but Strong immediately retaliated with a jumping knee.

Strong went for a powerbomb, only for Kyle to respond with a Guillotine. Strong managed to pull Kyle’s head into the ropes to break the hold before distracting the referee. Wardlow showed up behind Kyle, but immediately backed down after the referee noticed. Strong hit Kyle with a gutbuster before he fired up and turned him inside out with a lariat. Kyle spiked Strong with a brainbuster and tried to follow it up with a cross armbreaker. Strong blocked a back suplex to nail Kyle with a dropkick to the head and the End of Heartache.

WINNER: Roderick Strong at 17:18 (Still AEW International Champion) (****)

– After the match, the Undisputed Kingdom showed up on stage where Adam Cole stood up from his wheelchair. Cole briefly gave Wardlow a mean stare before focusing on celebrating Strong’s win.

(8) HOOK vs. CHRIS JERICHO – FTW Championship FTW Rules Match

Hook took Jericho down with a headlock takeover before receiving a chop to the chest. They started a chop and forearm exchange, until Hook floored Jericho with a Northern Lights suplex. Hook dropped Jericho with a T-Bone suplex and clotheslined him out of the ring. Hook knocked Jericho off his feet with a forearm strikes from the apron, but Jericho was able to smash his head into the steps and announce table. Jericho set up a table, only for Hook to block his suplex and lay him out with a German suplex.

Hook clobbered Jericho with a trash can lid to the head twice. Jericho blocked a third lid shot and dropped Hook with a DDT onto the lid for a two count. Back in the ring, Jericho blocked a lariat with a big boot, only for Hook to shock him with a T-Bone suplex from the apron through the table for a nearfall. Hook planted Jericho with a German suplex before receiving a boot to the face. Jericho attacked Hook with a corner clothesline and right hands, setting him up for an avalanche hurracarrana.

Jericho tossed a trash can into the ring, but Hook made him throw it away with a German suplex. Hook put the trash can on Jericho’s head and beat it with a kendo stick before planting him with a T-Bone suplex for a nearfall. Hook set up a table in the corner and put Jericho down with an overhead throw, only for Jericho to retaliate with a Codebreaker. They started exchanging strikes, until Jericho raked Hook’s eyes and knocked him down with a clothesline. Jericho missed a diving fist drop allowing Hook to trap him in a sleeper hold. 

Jericho dropped his body through the table in the corner and put his feet on the ropes, but Hook kicked out at two. Hook countered the Judas Effect with a knee bar, only for Jericho to transition into the Walls of Jericho. Hook surprised Jericho with an inside cradle and tried to follow up with the Redrum. Jericho attacked Hook with a low blow and the Judas Effect for a close nearfall. Jericho cracked Hook with another Judas Effect for a shocking nearfall. Hook gave Jericho the middle finger, only for Jericho to knock him out with his bat.

WINNER: Chris Jericho at 16:34 (New FTW Champion) (***)

– A video package was shown recapping the rivalry between Toni Storm and Thunder Rosa.

(9) TONI STORM (w/Mariah May & Luther) vs. THUNDER ROSA – AEW Women’s World Championship

They immediately started the match exchanging numerous strikes, until Storm started beating Rosa down with chops to the chest. Rosa nailed Storm with forearms to the back, followed by her own chops to the chest. Storm caught Rosa with a big boot before stepping on her head and back. Storm tossed Rosa across the ring, but Rosa knocked her down with a headscissors takeover. Rosa crashed into Storm and Luther with a diving Tornillo before having a brief face-off with May. Back in the ring, Rosa dropped Storm with a snap suplex, setting her up for a bunch of blows to the chest.

Storm countered a running crossbody with a backbreaker for a two count. Storm dropped Rosa with another backbreaker, setting her up for an elbow drop and a double knee drop to the back. Rosa withstood a bunch of forearms and nailed Storm with a headbutt, setting her up for a sunset flip powerbomb. Rosa blasted Storm away with a missile dropkick, following it with a Samoan Drop and a crucifix bomb for a nearfall. Before Storm could react, Rosa put her down with a dropkick into the ropes and a Death Valley Driver on the apron. Storm caught Rosa off-guard with a backbreaker, followed by a Tornado DDT and a fisherman suplex for a two count.

Rosa shocked Storm with a stomp to the face, but she managed to kick out at two. Storm dropped Rosa with Sky High and clocked her with a series of forearms to the back. They started exchanging forearm strikes and chops to the chest, slowly transitioning into slaps. Storm cracked Rosa with a headbutt before receiving an enzuigiri. Storm nailed Rosa with a German suplex, only for Rosa to retort with the same move. May distracted the referee, until Deonna Purrazzo took her out with a facebuster on the apron. Purrazzo made Luther crash into the steps and brawled away from the ring with May.

Storm hit Rosa with another German suplex, setting her up for a running hip attack and Storm Zero for a close nearfall. Storm immediately trapped Rosa in a Texas Cloverleaf, until she was able to grab the ropes. Rosa caught Storm with a backstabber, following it with a Rear Naked Choke. Storm pulled the ring apron to distract the referee before finishing Rosa with a low blow and Storm Zero.

(10) WILL OSPREAY vs. BRYAN DANIELSON

Danielson pushed Ospreay to the ropes and picked his legs, but Ospreay blocked his attempt at a bow-and-arrow lock. Danielson took Ospreay down with an arm drag, trying to follow up with a headscissors lock. Ospreay flipped over Danielson’s back and nearly hit him with two kicks to the head. After a brief face-off, Ospreay picked Danielson’s leg, until Danielson gave him the middle finger. They traded a pair of chops to the chest before Danielson put Ospreay in a crabate. Ospreay landed on his feet off a snap mare to take Danielson down with a dropkick and a hurracarrana.

Danielson attacked Ospreay with a series of chops and uppercuts, but Ospreay retaliated with a flapjack into the ropes and a boot to the face. Ospreay crashed into Danielson with a Tope con Hilo, only for Danielson to block a springboard move with a kick to the stomach. Danielson clocked Ospreay with a knee to the abdomen, followed by a kick to the back for a two count. Danielson trapped Ospreay’s leg in a DeathLock, setting him up for a load of strikes to the head. They got into another chop exchange, until Danielson pummeled him with numerous blows to the abdomen. Ospreay evaded a clothesline to knock Danielson off his feet with a handspring enzuigiri.

Ospreay hit Danielson with a boot to the face and a springboard clothesline for a two count. Danielson withstood Ospreay’s Kawada kicks to attack him with chops, only for Ospreay to send him out of the ring with an enzuigiri. Ospreay knocked Danielson down with a corkscrew moonsault from the top turnbuckle into ringside. Danielson blocked the Hidden Blade with a kick before planting Ospreay with a dragon suplex. Danielson pummeled Ospreay down with anvil elbow strikes, setting him up for Cattle Mutilation. Ospreay managed to break the hold, only for Danielson to blast him with a corner dropkick.

Ospreay landed on his feet off an avalanche hurracarrana before putting Danielson down with a hook kick and a Tiger Driver. Danielson tripped Ospreay atop the turnbuckle and launched him away with an avalanche tiger suplex for a close nearfall. Danielson attacked Ospreay with a barrage of kicks to the chest before nailing him with a chop to the throat. Ospreay immediately cracked Danielson with an elbow strike and pummeled him on the apron. Danielosn blocked a power move and hit Ospreay with kicks to the chest, until Ospreay shut him down with a thrust kick. Ospreay caught Danielson with the OsCutter on the apron, followed by a Hidden Blade from the apron.

Danielson barely managed to return to the ring, only for Ospreay to immediately hit him with a springboard dropkick and a double underhook powerbomb for a two count. Ospreay attacked Danielson with a thrust kick, but Danielson blocked his OsCutter attempt. Danielson knocked Ospreay down with La Mistica, transitioning immediately into the LaBelle Lock. Danielson hyper-extended Ospreay’s arm, until he was able to put his boot on the ropes. Ospreay caught a Busaiku Knee, but Danielson countered his powerbomb with a hurracarrana. Danielson evaded the Hidden Blade and cracked Ospreay with a Busaiku Knee for a close nearfall.

Danielson stomped Ospreay’s head numerous times, but couldn’t trap him in the LaBelle Lock. Ospreay beat Danielson with a series of forearm strikes, until Danielson locked him in a Triangle Choke. Danielson pummeled Ospreay with forearms while in the Choke, until Ospreay shocked him with a sudden Styles Clash. They traded various headbutts before Danielson clocked Ospreay with a huge slap. Ospreay fired up from a back suplex to whack Danielson with the Hidden Blade, only for Danielson to block the OsCutter with a Busaiku Knee. Both men faced off across the ring, teasing their finishing moves. Ospreay blocked the Busaiku Knee with a Hidden Blade, setting Danielson up for a Tiger Driver 91 and one final Hidden Blade.

WINNER: Will Ospreay at 32:40 (*****)

(11) YOUNG BUCKS (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson) vs. FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) – AEW World Tag Team Championship Ladder Match

FTR blocked a double superkick and pummeled the Bucks down. Dax avoided an EVP Trigger, allowing Cash to take the Bucks down with a diving double clothesline. The Bucks clocked Dax with a ladder, but Cash quickly knocked them away with a sliding dropkick. Matthew rammed Cash into the barricade, allowing Nicholas to nail him with an enzuigiri. Dax and Matthew tried to climb the ladder, but Nicholas and Cash pulled them down. The Bucks smashed FTR into the ladder and knocked them off their feet with a double superkick. Matthew laid Dax on a ladder while Nicholas climbed the top turnbuckle.

Dax launched Nicholas off the top turnbuckle onto the ladder and dropped Matthew with a back body drop onto the same ladder. FTR set up a bunch of tables and ladders around the ring. Matthew tripped Dax into the steps while he held a ladder while Nicholas cracked Cash with a Penalty kick. Nicholas crushed Cash with a cannonball from the apron onto a ladder held by Matthew. The Bucks put Dax’s body in between a ladder and pummeled him with numerous chair shots before throwing the chair into Cash’s face. The Bucks drove Dax and Cash into a pair of ladders in the corner, making one ladder fall on top of Dax.

At ringside, The Bucks Irish-whipped Dax into a ladder bridge. Cash slid under the same ladder bridge and crushed the Bucks with a moonsault from the ladder. Cash tried to spike Matthew with a piledriver on the ladder bridge, only for Nicholas to trip him into a low blow on the ladder’s rungs. The Bucks crushed Cash with an EVP Trigger, but couldn’t put Dax through a table with a suplex. FTR hit the Bucks with a double suplex before Cash laid them out with a back body drop and a snap powerslam. Cash pulled Matthew off a ladder, setting him up for a diving bulldog from Dax.

Dax put Matthew in a Sharpshooter while Cash climbed the ladder. Nicholas blasted Dax with a superkick and pulled Cash down the ladder. Cash launched Matthew through a table with a Spear off the apron. Nicholas countered a powerbomb with a hurracarrana, making Dax crash through a table at ringside. Cash and Nicholas traded strikes atop a ladder, until Matthew and Dax joined in with another ladder. Everyone but Matthew was knocked down from the ladder, only for FTR to pull him off the ladder into a Shatter Machine. Dax dropped Nicholas with a superplex from a ladder, setting him up for a diving splash from a ladder from Cash.

Matthew pushed Cash off a ladder and took him out with a superkick. Nicholas put Cash through a table with a 450 splash while Dax spiked Matthew with a piledriver onto a ladder bridge. Dax tried to climb a ladder, but Nicholas surprised him by jumping onto the ladder and flattening him with a sunset flip powerbomb. Cash clotheslined Nicholas out of the ring, but missed a suicide dive, crashing through a table instead. Dax and Nicholas exchanged strikes atop a ladder, until Dax knocked him down. A masked fan pushed Dax off the ladder before being cornered by two security guards. The fan was revealed to be Jack Perry, as Matthew unhooked the belts for the win.

(12) SAMOA JOE vs. SWERVE STRICKLAND (w/Prince Nana) – AEW World Championship

Joe immediately cornered Swerve before nailing him with a strike to the abdomen and a chop to the chest. Joe tried to walk away from a diving splash, but Swerve landed on his feet. Swerve sent Joe out of the ring with a dropkick and went for a suicide dive, but Joe countered it with a uranage onto the announce table. Joe exposed the concrete floor before receiving a fosbury flop. Swerve blocked the Muscle Buster, only for Joe to flatten him with a snap powerslam on the concrete. Back in the ring, Joe pummeled Swerve down before sweeping him off his feet and making him crash face-first onto the mat.

Joe crushed Swerve with an elbow drop, followed by a headlock. Joe clobbered Swerve with a series of forearm strikes and crushed him with a knee drop to the head. Swerve fired up to attack Joe with a bunch of forearms, only for Joe to send him out of the ring with a shoulder tackle. At ringside, Joe hit Swerve with clotheslines, but missed one and hit the ring post accidentally. Swerve pulled Joe’s arm into the turnbuckle and nailed him with a Codebreaker to the arm for a one count. Swerve managed to floor Joe with a German suplex, but he kicked out at two.

Joe tried to go for the Coquina Clutch, only for Swerve to kick him away and drop him with a rolling flatliner. Swerve smashed Joe’s arm from the top turnbuckle into the mat and tried to go for a cross armbreaker. Joe broke the hold with a buckle bomb and put Swerve down with a Muscle Buster for a close nearfall. Joe tried to introduce the belt to the ring, but Swerve shut him down with a House Call kick. Swerve crushed Joe’s head with a 450 Splash and nailed him with the Swerve Stomp for a nearfall.

Nana distracted the referee while Joe avoided a belt shot to put Swerve in the Coquina Clutch. Swerve managed to break the hold before snapping Joe’s damaged arm. Swerve cracked Joe with a House Call kick for a close two count. Joe stopped Swerve atop the turnbuckle, but couldn’t follow up with a fireman’s carry move. Swerve took the air out of Joe by grabbing his nose before leaping over Joe’s body. Swerve planted Joe with a powerbomb, setting him up for the Swerve Stomp and the win.
