The NFL Wild Card Weekend is Set

The best time of year, NBA, Hockey, Daytona 500, CFB Championship, and yes, the NFL PLAYOFFS!  The wild card weekend is only three days away and it promises to be a great weekend of football.  So teams have taken big steps as the playoffs arrive and others may be headed the other way.  Can the Steelers go into Buffalo and make it out on top? Can the Eagles actually win again?

These are just a few of the questions that will be answered this weekend. Here are a few of the better games.

Browns at Texans

This one kicks off these playoffs with a matchup of two teams that were searching for a direction and in the process the Browns ended up with the QB that was leaving the Texans, Watson, leaving the Texans looking for a QB and hope. They found that in the draft with  C.J Stroud who has come in and become the leader and the QB they needed. The Browns have been winning by committee for most of the year as Watson has been out. Journeyman Joe Flacco has done a spectacular job getting the Browns into the playoffs but it has been the defense that held the team together. Being the home team should prove to be the reason the Texans win.

Rams at Lions

If you are a football fan then this was the game we all wanted to see. The Lions making a trip to the playoffs is a feat in itself but a home game in Ford Stadium is a whole other thing. Now you take that and add in the return of Stafford into the building he left to get a ring. The Lions have put a ban on the wearing of Stafford jerseys in the stadium for the game just for a little on what this means. All the ex-great Lions and stars from Detriot will be on the sidelines as the city has been waiting for this for what seems a lifetime.

The Lions have been one of the best teams in the league this season while the Rams have had their struggles. This could not be a better matchup for a Sunday night battle and all football fans will benefit. Here’s to you Detriot and a home playoff win.

The rest of the weekend;

Dolphins at Chiefs

Steelers at Bills

Packers at Cowboys

Eagles at Bucs Monday night

If this does not make a football fanatic happy, no weekend can.
