Panthers take down the Roughnecks leaving them 0-3

The 0-2 Houston Roughnecks traveled to Michigan this week in search of a win against the Panthers and they walked away 0-3. Houston came out ready as quarterback Reid Sinnett, starting in place of the injured Jarrett Guarantano, drove down the field completing each of his first four pass attempts.

Michigan quarterback E.J. Perry drove the home team down the field, after a FG and a three-and-out by Houston, ending the drive with his first of two rushing touchdowns to make it 9-8 early in the second quarter.  the Panthers extended their lead after the half thanks to a 66 yard touchdown pass from E.J. Perry to former West Virginia wide receiver Marcus Simms.

The Panthers finished with a couple more tds as they win this one 34-14. A rough start for a Houston team so many had high hopes for.  The Roughnecks will return home to Rice Stadium next Sunday, April 21 to welcome the defending XFL champions, the Arlington Renegades (0-3)
