Pinfalls: WrestleMania XL

This weekend, “The Granddaddy of Them All” takes place in Philadelphia. WrestleMania XL airs live on Saturday and Sunday on the Peacock Network, beginning with the kickoff shows each night at 7 p.m. EST.

What started in March 1985 in Madison Square Garden has grown into the biggest wrestling spectacle of the year. Hulk Hogan and Mr. T teamed to face Rowdy Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff. This year, Roman Reigns, arguably the most dominant champ since Hogan, will be featured in the main event both nights.

As always, my The Johngy “OR ELSE” Podcast partner Tommy Else and I are back with Pinfalls. With so many matches, we didn’t go as deep as usual on every match, but we gave our thoughts and predictions on all. We do agree on many of the outcomes, which is always funny, because we never discuss any of this prior to recording. We rarely talk pro wrestling actually. For the record, I am 7-1 on the year, while Tommy is scuffling a bit at 2-6. I am not too cocky though, as Tommy has a way of big comebacks.

Of the many matches, there are only a couple that don’t excite us, but maybe others like a huge tag-team match or a random pairing. Either way, we are looking forward to the big matchs. Like everyone else, we can’t wait to see how the Reigns-Rhodes-Rock saga plays out. There are so many possibilities.

This shapes up to be two great nights of wrestling. I hope you make your picks and see how they stack up against ours. Watch the show and come back to The Everyday Fan for our wrestling coverage and more.
